yamaha is producing an 09 yz125.........the overseas demand will probably continue. worst case scenario is we gotta order parts from europe or australia, etc, or they kick us out of the surf for good-in that case its over.

I would like to see a dry sump fuel injected v4 of about 800ccs shim under bucket camshaft,one per cylinder bank,four valves per cylinder with a downdraft intake that makes a straight shot to the piston.Throw in an ass load of ignition advance and free flowing exhaust system exiting out both sides to the rear and you would have a good platform.

Matt's right. Think about this. The 450 makes horsepower #'s in the low to mid 50's. Your stroker makes somewhere around 250 hp
(since it's an LPW). I don't know how much hp my motor makes but it whoops yours and the 450.:veryhappy:

Regrettably direct drive jet pumps suck lots of hp,the engines in the snowmobiles make ridiculous hp numbers but the torque numbers aren't there,you have to have the torque to have any kind of bottom end,without torque whats the point?

I actually dyno'ed my 05 CRF450 and it was 59hp at the rear wheel THANK YOU very much. Yours whoops mine? WhatutalkinboutWillis? I think it's time for a Snapple Intervention, the chit is makin u delerious. LOL

i though freestyle already is a thing of the past.

4 stroke will make everything way more expensive and way more time consuming, hard to picture i know!

problem is size weight and water. is it possible to beat a 2 stroke. i say never, there needs to be a serious revolution in motors. i have a feeling its just around the corner...

Agreed. I would not have made myself near as crazy had I not ridden your ski's after I got my motor.

well most the small boats at my club have gone from 2stroke outboard motors to 4stroke outboard's dont hear too many complaints!just like when i had my fireblade so did everyone else!now they all want a vtr1000 sp1 or sp2=v-twin =more bottom end grunt with high hp numbers,look at the 08 blade 185hp 1000cc stock,without mr turbo or nos....wow.....i say bring it on...just make it light/compact like that 50hp rotary powered go kart on utube its the size of a big mac..or two!!!!

With a completely sealed engine compartment the saltwater would probably be less of a problem than you would think....an electric motor has no intake :Banane09:
