Super Jet Will I be hitting the rev limiter?

Last year my 61x CDI was junk, so I swapped it out with a 6m6 one. I haven't noticed that I hit the rev limiter when I'm hooked up w/ a stock impeller, and I've got a b pipe. Now that I'm installing a 9/15 hooker prop, will I be bouncing off of the rev limiter?

This is on a 1995 yamaha 701.

If your pump is hooked up but you hear the reh-reh-reh sound then you'll need to go back to a 61x cdi or get the mod done.

I haven't noticed it before.. I guess it's time for an adjustable. I don't wanna break the bank on a new cdi because I just put a lot of money into my ski..

I do accelerate alot, trust me! I'm 18, and I'm on a budget. I pretty much already hit my limit for money spent on mods this summer

If you are on a budget and somewhat skilled with electronics, you can modify the 6M6 CDI to have no rev limit, or to have it adjustable. (You can do the same to 701 CDI's)
Or just buy a stock 61X CDI. Relatively cheap.

How so?

If I could get an adjustable for around 100$ that'd be ideal. I don't have $200+ for an enhancer to fail on me. I don't want to eliminate it.

That pipe/prop should turn 6900rpm with a bored nozzle, well over any 6M6 cdi that I have tested. Look in the tech section and decide if you are up to the task. I replace the 91ohm resistor with a 75 and seal it up. It gets the limit out of the way.
