Just picked this up about a month ago and am loving it. Its been a few years since i had a bike again and this was a real nice step up from my old 81' XR500R air cooled bike.

I got a great deal on it from a anal original owner that took real good care of it and only rode it 5-6 times a year.
Its a hill climbing bitch w/mega torque and has a top end of 100mph. Its been fully uncorked and came with a Scotts steering dampener and billet rear disk brake guard. I got insurance and licensed it also, so i can hop on the highway when Im sick of off roading it.

Anybody else around Havasu, Vegas, So Cal, etc on the X that rides. Lets go!

Those are fun bikes. What pipe is on it ?

It just has the stock pipe on it now that has been drilled out to 2" and a new exhaust tip added as part of the uncorking process.
I would like to at least get a "slip on" exhaust to get rid of the heavy OEM baffle system. It will lose 5+ lbs. if i do that. I cant afford a whole exhaust for it)400+), but can get a new DG slip on for $159 shipped on Ebay.. Would like to get FMF or a better brand, but $$ dictate!

I had one of those for a while but I decided it was more clapped out than I wanted so I sold it. Mine came with an XR's only pipe, which is a total turd, the uncorked oem runs about the same. I thought about buying a DG for the 600 that I have now, you'll have to let me know how it turns out if you end up with it. If you're thinking about getting an oversized tank Acerbis makes a 6.6 gallon tank that doesn't feel as big as it looks.

Troy, I have A XR50L. Im wishin it had the R motor in it. Its a fun bike because I can now go around traffic and hit the trails next to the train tracks to miss all the traffic coming home from work on weekends. The L is too light for me on the freeway and in high winds. The wind pushes me all over the road sometimes.
I can only imagine riding that R out in your area, I bet its awesome.

EDIT: I bought a vapor computer for mine but have yet to put it on.
