650/X-2 winter x2 build

I'll be riding every weekend at Boyd, and classes get out in longmont at 2:30pm on monday and wednesdays so could drop by then. Will post some pics in a few weeks, still need a few more things: turf a few more spots, design/make a new handlepole, install nitrous and trim, etc. But it runs! And I got a single carb nitrous kit which should be arriving tomorrow that comes set for a 10-100hp boost! Will hopefully get that installed this weekend, and maybe if I get lucky test it after school this coming week.

Primer

I finally got second coat of primer on the ski and and started cleaning up the corners for and prepping for final coat of primer. I think it will all be done in 2 weeks. I am getting close to done, just need fabricate some stuff, that will take the most time after the paint is done.

Lookin good! And hurry up, I need someone to ride with! It's been so perfect lately, went out again today. Was literally only person on the lake (with my dad and his 650sx), and perfectly smooth water! Plan to go skiing tomorrow and be in Loveland if you're around.

I am going to be work all day today. Then Saturday I am working until 3. Let me know.

I can wait to ride the thing! I am buying a 650sx for 200 delivered on Sunday should be pretty cool. Then I am also buy a 550 sunday too. So I will have a ski to go out with if your around all next week or the week after.

SOunds Good! Just need to get it running first!

I will be posting pictures as soon as I can get it running and clear all of the tools and crap off of it. Its completely done just trying to get it started at this point, I think I might have a weak spark.

Yeah I tryed that, no luck. I might pick up some plugs and try a different coil. Every time I pull the plugs, they are pretty wet so it's get Plunty of fuel. Then I have ton of compression so I think it has to be a weak spark or maybe timing?? I have the 650 stator at stock degree maybe advanced a couple degrees.

Not yet. I will if the nitrous boost can't handle the current one this weekend, like I originally planned. Though with the shortened ride plate, for some reason it had more bottom end punch it seemed like. Though may of just been weird conditions.

Did the calcs on my 650 compression. 135psi @ 9000', 162psi @ 5k, 190psi @ sea level (18% psi boost over stock), and I can mill the head down quite a bit still. Figured I'd tell you since you thought my skis compression was really low (though I was telling you the comp at high altitude where I test it). Fun facts.

Thats weird! My x2 650 comp was 153 psi at this altitude and when I went to Lake Powell It was about 157psi...

Update on the ski, I got it all together and it wouldn't start so I am replacing some gaskets in the next few days since I had some leaks. I am really hoping to have the x2 out at the lake to ride on sunday. As soon as I get all of the tools off of it and put the motor back in it, I will take some final pictures! and post them
