No offense but I think you need to dig deeper. 3/4 turn won't cause the engine to runaway. Heck even a jet or two off won't cause it to runaway. IMO you just masked the problem temporarily.

If the low speed screw is less than 3/4 of a turn and the idle screw set where only the idle circuit supplies fuel, there's a good chance that the volatile mixture could cause a runaway. If there is a air leak, would you not see gas and oil at the leak? (before reeds)

I made a presure test on it and ther was nothing, it has run about 6 hours this weekend and it runes just fine.
