Wiring 62T e-box to 61x stator wire colors?

Well I searched and after looking at like 700 posts and not finding anything on the different wire colors I'm stumped. If somone has wiring diagrams for 61x and 62T please let me know. Unless someone can just let me know what to connect to what...here's the issue.

I have a complete 62T e-box trying to wire to 61x stator.

the 62-t connector going to the stator has the following wire colors:
green
red
pink
black
brown

The 61-x stator has different color wires coming from the stator:
2 green
white with red stripe
black
Brown with white stripe

I think you are looking at this wrong. There are 2 leads from the e-box that have connections to the stator wiring.
There should be two greens from stator lighting coil. The red/white is from the pulser coil. The brown/white is from the charging coil.
There should be corrisponding color wires from the e-box. Red/white to red/white from cdi. Brown/white to brown/white from cdi. Pink to pink cdi. The greens are one to cdi and one to voltage regulato/rectifier. Black to ground/cdi black.
The red/white from the 62t box will have the wrong sex connector to connect to the 61x pulser coil. Just change one or the other to the correct sex.

Correction: The 62t colors may be different if it is a late model. Search for dl distrubitors. They have pictures for a wetjet wiring which is the same as a yamaha 701 of different models. I have also seen pictures of different e-boxes posted somewhere. Use search.

haha if they were the same colors I would not have an issue.
I did search for over an hour. I hope someone knows what to connect to what.

The wires of the 61X or 62T stator have the same color code! There are 2 green wires and BOTH connect to the reg/rectifier in the elec. box. I don't know what you mean by 62T elec. box, are you trying to use the box from a 760 engine (couch)?

Yeah it could be from a 760 couch, I don't know. I bought it off a guy who was SUPPOST to be sending me a 61-X e-box and I get it and it has a 62T cdi and weird colored wires going to the stator. I'm not at all impressed about getting this ebox, but I want to try to make it work because if I send it back and try to get the correct box I will miss even more riding time than I already have dealing with the clown I bought it from....but that's a different story.

So anyway yeah it might very well be from a 760 couch?? it looks bigger than normal also?

Yes, that's the wiring, only diff. is : '96 up has diff "gender" on one of the connectors as mooseye pointed out above.

'96 up Superjet cdi's are stamped 62T, I don't know about the box you have there though!

Therein lies the confusion. The box has a differnt color code for the wires or something. If you don't have a red/white and a brown/white as they should be.
And whoever is correct about the greens. I was trying to go from memory which is faltering some in my old age.

Over on GH forum, they have a list of yamaha ski jet manuals online that you can access whch have all model wiring diagrams. The 760 has some differentcolors and some the same.

I'm piecing together a ski, just got out of racing and sold all my stuff so I'm piecing together an fx1 for the summer.

Yeah I have two Stators with the red/white wire with different sex connectors . The first stator has a Female in that connects to my MSD ehancer fine. The new Stator has a Male which not matches to CDI. Should I change the connector or is the second stator wrong stator . It is suppose to be a 62t stator. Help?

The stator that matches up to the MSD enhancer is obviously a 61X (90-95). If you plan to use the 62T stator you'll need the adapter wire (both ends female I think) which usually is packaged with the enhancer since 1996 , or you could just hardwire it. Be advised that you have to use a 61X stator with the 61X flywheel ( 4 magnets and smaller inner diameter) You can use a 62T stator on any Yam 700 series if you use the corresponding 62T flywheel (circular magnet inside)
