Wish it were mine!

I borrowed an engine and a pipe for a couple days down in PCB recently from 335. I couldn't believe how well this all fit in my hull. Notice the CUSTOM fuel tank. I took a two gallon gas can, and modded a kawi fuel pickup to fit where the spout went, and then epoxied in an internal fuel filler. Worked like a charm. Unfortunately I didn't get a whole lot of ride time before the engine came off the bedplate on one side. :nono:
This picture was taken when we almost had it installed. When I get home I'll get my camera out and put one up of it completed with everything all dressed in nicely and ready to rip. I may even have a pic of it in the water.
Can't wait to get one of these installed properly, it was a blast. With any luck I should have my 701 in there and ready for Daytona. :headbang:

I heard you guys liked the "White Power Ski." I rode that white RN more than once when I lived in huntsville. I wish I had that engine in one of my X2's.

I am going to draw up a plate on AutoCAD the way I think it should be made. I think I can fix some of the problems you are having with stuff coming loose Will.

Yeah that wasn't the best idea they way I did it. It worked, but thats about it. When I bolted something with some ass on it, didn't last long.
I'll be glassing in plates to attach the yamaha mounts and bedplate to ASAP.
Yeah, White Power kicked ass. I had a blast on that ski. I don't get to ride RN's very often, so I was eating it up all day. Great time. I'm hoping to have that power out of my 701. I'm going to have basically the same mods on mine. Almost anyway.. We'll see if it's comparable or not. I hope it is. If I can get that in my X2 I think I'll be happy for a while.

Wait until you see my drawing before going and grinding out the ribs. I will try to throw a quick drawing together one evening in the next week.

Will do. I'm pretty set on the way I'm doing it though. I want this thing to be just like a superjet. Bedplates, mounts, the whole deal. I'm sure a plate can be made to do it, but that's going to cost $$. My method won't cost me anything more than materials.
I'm going to go ahead and do my old hull up with my method for Daytona. I want to try it out before I decide what to do with the new hull. Maybe if you have a dynamite design by the time the next one is coming together I'll try it out!

I love it. Gas can is the greatest! Get that B together for DAYTONA, I want to see some big X2 rolls!

I'm trying brother!! I know I can get it together, I just REALLY want to have the cylinder ported first. It all depends on whether my guy can get it bored and ported before Christmas. And whether or not I can afford it by then. There is a lot to work out between now and then, but I'm going to try like hell. I want to go BIG!!
I'm going for the backy. I've landed enough rolls to be happy with that, I've just never had a wave I could even attempt a backy off of.
Yeah the gas can was the best part of that little setup. No way in hell that TNT chamber was going to fit the stock tank. Took me a couple hours to get it made like I wanted and sealed up tight, but it worked GREAT. Honestly I'll probably use it in my new hull, just to see the looks on everyone's face. :439:

I'm not sure how much bigger the TNT chamber is compared to the B1 Mod but a little heat shaping of an SJ tank works well with the Mod chamber in an X2.

Thats on a 750, right? Problem is my 701 sits about 1.5" further forward in the hull than the Kawi engine. I have an SJ tank I'll have to try out. I'm pretty sure the TNT chamber is about the same size. Not 100% on that though as I haven't seen them side by side.
I'm HOPING to be able to use my blaster limited chamber with the 701. I tried like hell to get it in there with no luck, and the TNT just fit so perfectly.

Yeah, it is on my 750. Even at an additional 1.5" it should still work with a little more shaping of the tank. The Mod chamber really does fit nicely in the hull.
The OEM exhaust hose form the center bleed outlet to the waterbox is also nearly a perfect fit.

Sure does. From what I understand the TNT is very similar. It fit like a glove. And your right, that exhaust hose was damn near made for it! Little bigger than the outlets, but I just stuck a small piece of exhaust tubing over the outlets, waterbox and pipe, that fit snugly and the SJ exhaust hose slipped right over those and tightened up flawlessly. Are you running an SJ waterbox?
