wont stop porpoising JD ride plate

friend has a b1, fresh motor, factory b limited chamber, waterbox, JD ride plate, intake grate ( not sure what type). thing rides like $hit and porpoises anything over mid range speed under power. friend is a girl and she is pretty tiny, 105lb.. so I got on it and still does it. I have to lean pretty far forward to make it stop, she cant make it stop. im 225 lb.

now take my b1, similar mods, but riva groovy ride plate, and riva intake grate. my ski rides great, zero porpoising. we finally got around to making a bouy course with some friends, ( hx and a few sparks) and her B1 is terrible compaired to mine.. it didn't want to lean in on corners like mine and was sketchy as hell. I am lead to believe the JD plate is good but what else would cause this. the grate? BTW she only rides local rivers, cant get her into the surf yet..

any help? thanks

Check the simple things first. Make sure the grate and plate are not hanging lower than the hull. If so pull and see why, could be washers added for whichever reason.

Is the nozzle stock?

Start with the simple. Switch plates, switch intakes, switch both. See what changes are made.

I have a JD ride plate with worx intake grate and protec drop nozzle. Like you said bounces like hell unless I am leaning over the front of it when nozzle is straight. I shimmed the back of it with washers which helped, but still have to lean over front with nozzle straight on glass. I was thinking about hull extensions. cause I like the way it carves. My buddy had the groovy ride plate on his and didn't have that problem. He was complaining about my ski the other day for the same reason.
