World Cup 2017 Thailand - Lee Stone bad luck part 2

So, how many saw this?
What are the chances of his ski dying same way in 2 wold championships, and costing him 2 x world titles?
Congrats to Gomez for taking the win.

I was told the way the carbs had to be mounted to achieve the double flip that if he gets any water in his boat he’s done

Really? How should they be mounted for the double?
I heard that the reason for it, at havasu should be the XS carbs clogging the small holes (annular discharge) but thats just from one guy, that talked to another guy (that makes jetski carbs lol)

Idk this is what I was told by a guy that builds engines and was told buy another guy that builds jetski carbs

haha guess its the same guy lol. But i dont know if its because that guys is annoyed that he dosent use his carbs, that he blames the XS carbs :)
i mean a lot of guys are running AD carbs, and dont know how many have had an engine completely shut off because of water ingest?

The move is puzzling. He should just save it to the very end of the competition and only do it if he needs to

This is a solid mindset, if all that matters is winning the comp. But I think the only person that Lee has to compete with is himself - that's why this sport keeps progressing!

IMO it doesn't really matter who walks with the trophy, we all know who the champ is...

I chatted to Lee after the first run, ski had cavitated in the rough conditions so he didn’t get enough height. Engine ingested water and it took a while to get it started. Layout in ski is normal, nothing different to other skis. The secret is in the trim
Do tell... whats he got his trim doing?

There is a lot of it, current setup forces him to do the double as first trick. I am working on a way to improve it for him, basics are done in my head, need to physically build it to see if it will work, holiday project after I get home on the 21st

It’s sad though, everyone flatwater knows Lee’s the best of the best hands down, he has had such bad luck lately, marks a nice dude , buttt not on the same page as lee :)

I disagree, these are professionals competing for big money at kings cup. It matters who wins.

Isn't that the truth hahahahah
"Well i sold that old ride plate for 80 shipped so I should probably buy that new $700 trim system now"

His carbs are setup normal, nothing different there.
He went for the double first trick and didn't make it. Ski took in a lot of water and he couldn't get it started.
Came back in the second day and won moto 2 thou.

Rashid's had bad luck too this year. At kingscup his exhaust coupler broke during his first run

Your luck wasn’t very good this year either
