Here's something else to chew on.... There's more than just "Fill in the blank" is the best rider. Therefore, if anybody else wins, "Fill in the blank" got ripped off. In the freestyle game, boat setup, tuning, and reliability play an important role, maybe just as much as rider skill. Maybe, the current technology has reached it's limits [for some tricks] as far as reliability is concerned? If certain tricks are going to require a state of tune that is pushing a motor or boat configuration beyond what is reliable ...is it worth losing a World title over? The same goes for deciding whether a trick that perhaps is not perfected, with a high rate of success rate, should be incorporated into one's routine. Or, as Jace pointed out...the placement of said high risk trick.

Just my 1.5 cents.

you have to finish the race. you cant just win for 499 laps then crash. that would mean you loose.

Winning is winning. You can talk about it all day, but Gomez won.

There's a lot more to being the best than being the most skilled rider. Mark has a good team behind him, puts in a lot of hard work in, and for the last two events, has had a reliable routine and setup. Add to that the IFWA, freeride events, and always taking the time to hang with anyone that wants his attention. The guy spends more time on an aeroplane than a ski.

I'm not a fan boy, but I don't think anyone can question why he won, let alone if he's the true champion or not.

There is a lot of it, current setup forces him to do the double as first trick. I am working on a way to improve it for him, basics are done in my head, need to physically build it to see if it will work, holiday project after I get home on the 21st

That would leave me to believe his trim is an air setup, no? I know that’s a bit far fetched but TBM ran air actuated drop nozzles and tabs on farthings sit downs and in other applications as well. It would be the only depleting source sine hydraulic oil would never disappear like air would. I’d be interested to see it.

Lee put all his eggs in one basket at WF, and it backfired in one heat. Same in thailand, pretty sad or stupid, we cant judge as we dont know the details about WHY is died.
Mark won both titles and seems like a super nice down to earth guy, so im happy for him that he won 2 world freestyle titles.
With that said, i dont think anyone in jetski have set the bar as high as Lee Stone, no other single rider have been first mover on that many tricks.
Lee has defiantly pushed the sport and im my eyes an innovator and leader in freestyle jetski.
