I tested the ski today (alongside some high-flying Japanese PRO riders) and while it's definitely not great, I was at least trying to learn to adapt to it. It's currently a big hit-or-miss. My prediction for Friday is that after you see me run you will say "half was great and half sucked". I'm being very realistic about it -- there is not enough time to get the ski working 100% and there is not enough time for me to fully adapt to its current state. So, after much deliberation today if I should run or not, I decided that I have to compete because (unlike yesterday) the performance won't be embarrassing. I will probably go for less tricks, but try to execute them cleanly and big.

"Havasu curse" is in full effect -- the issue that I was complaining about yesterday has been found -- a cracked cylinder. So, needless to say, I am out of contention. I will still run, but 5th place now would be a major result. To say that my first World Finals was a bad experience is to put it nicely.
On the amateur side I only saw Lucas and Iceman practice, so I can't really give any predictions. On the pro side, Japanese are going huge, and don't quote me on this, but I have a feeling that at least one of them will attempt a double back flip on Sunday. I also saw Ivan Putanin practice on his new hull a beautiful heli-540 degree into a double flip into an underflip.
At the tech I saw a bunch of BOBs, and they really look nice, I hope to test one on Monday. Speaking of Monday I hope to finally be able to test a Superfreak with Dasa.
On a side note, I was told that this thread is somehow against XScream. When you read what I posted above, does it seem so to you? If so, it certainly wasn't on purpose.

And if it is, go to thier booth and buy a cylinder if you can. Both Dasa and Xscream have motors for sale in thier booths (Yeah I know money doesnt grow on trees in Havasu). But all the support you need is right there at the moment, good luck!

Go out and just have fun!!!!!!!!!! That was the attitude I took in 2006 at the Nationals. Was not focused on Freestyle, focused on racing that year. Went out and just "Had Fun". Got 3rd out of 8 really good guys. Same Year Ratti took 2nd and Bogey took first.

I must have done something to judge #2, as he gave me a lower score than to an 11-year old Davi Prado.

Looks like he scored everybody lower. As long as he is consistent it does not hurt you. Good job out there today. Rough conditions.
