Was planning on tent camping, but with the current heat wave I'm looking for a cheap room with A/C Anyone have any good suggestions?

Camp ground And bring electric fans? Lol. That my thoughts

I was thinking that, but Crazy Horse is "Crazy" expensive. 4 night minimum at $230 for the stay. I only need two nights, so I may as well get a room with A/C and a toilet to worship!

I hear ya there, screw camping... to hot.
You should be able to stay at any of the regular motels around here for that price, its just finding one that might be the problem. I'd start calling around ASAP..

I just did a quick search at hotels.com(what i use all the time) for 2 adults for the 10-12th big Pro weekend and there were a lot of places from $60-$100 per night.

The Lucas Oil boat drags are the same weekend so get a room quick I would say...

I stayed at the sand castle in year before last. Pretty cheap. i think 65 or 70 a night
Not the nicest but ive been in worse. Also the locals that "lived" there were a little scary.. But id go back.. AC, Shower, and Cable..

We have a spot already. Could get you your 2 nights if you the wknd of freestyle. Split up costs wouldn't be much for those 2 nights. Pm me and join the site

We're staying at the Islander right across from Crazy Horse. Not the best place in the world, but couldn't beat the price and location. Stayed there last year, and it's just like you'd imagine a cheap hotel would be like lol but it's within walking distance of festivities.

so stoked i saw this thread!!!

I am definitely going I dont care if i have to sleep in my car, this is perfect!

do they sell stuff at the competition? if so i will bring my money for sure

See if you have any contacts who rented houses down there?

Back in July i rented a place on VRBO.com, 4 bedrooms-sleeps 8. with 8 people going it comes out to roughly $20 a night.

very cheap compared to hotels and camping, plus you have the amenities of a house( full kitchen, multiple bathrooms, ect.)

i definitely recommend checking them out for next year. We've been doing it this way for a couple years now

We've already got our hotel squared away, but I've already got a line on a house for next year. I think that'll be the way to go, even if it's a short drive away.
