well that solves it: Wilkey has no tact of the English language, and phillip clemmons, ive ridden 'skis with PLENTY of power ..... which once again brings the issue: why so scared of elevation? ..... once again, I see ive obviously pissed off a few dudes. .. but I reiterate : If you ride a 20k ski, whats a few k in travel costs to expand our sport???? ..... just goes to show ill never give up, but thanks for your 'witty' retorts. I had a GREAT 4th vacation, hope all you X-ers did too =)

Why don't you come to all the tour stops on the east coast first and get everyone's attention to go west for a record attempt

LOL!!! I read back a few posts, and im seeing that theres soo much anger up in here. Yall need to relax. if I could buy a 20k 'ski, id be at EVERY event possible. unfortunately, I make sure my family is funded and have everything they need before my, yes, weak-ass ski.... I don't have any trouble admitting it.. its a 93 750, but that's all I can afford, and im totally happy with it. cause im on the water DEBT FREE !!! lol!!! how many of you can say that? keep the replies commin, cause this is great

Dude progress what do you not see all these riders progressing and going to wake board parks shows and doing shows for 4th of July and throwing unbelievable tricks and some even getting on TV in there own country's how is that not progressing the sport

lets just let Blowsion and SBT recruit new riders... cause that will work, lol.. seriously. im only trying to open your eyes that the sport will get better if yall stop being such angry boys to the 'regular' rider.....THATS where the money is at........... bring your 20-35k boat to a 'less than desirable' location, and you just got 100 peeps going down to the Yamaha dealership to buy a new superjet, and probably 300 buyin used boats, that will LOVE the sport and start saving for these sweet, expensive, freestyle boats!!! open your eyes, and let the anger go. ....... I may not be conveying the message right, but that's what happens in type. im not gonna lose sleep over it though =)

I don't even care about flatwater (I have big respect for the riders) but your post is just stupid. What kind of reaction did you expect bagging on riders?

Pretty sure they can afford their skis while supporting families. Can't rag on them for being successful lol. Nor ever expect them to go 1,000 miles into Area 51 for a jet ski event held in Dixie cup Brahhhhh.

Doesn't matter what they can afford. Bottom line, One guy is bummed because he was more excited for an event than the people who the event was planned for and everybody has to justify their decisions to him? How ridiculous.

Dude just really doesn't have the slightest clue what he is talking about. He is butt hurt he drove 10min to watch some freestyle and ended up having to watch racing instead...I understand, that sucks man.

I've done more to try and expand this sport than you will ever know.
I bust my ass every day at work (I'm a welder, "a regular guy") try and get side work, try and find jet ski shows to make enough money to go to competitions. All while going to the gym, and practicing so I can progress.

You think someone is paying for me to do this? You think we are all just a bunch of rich people with stacks of cash ready to throw at anything?
No...most of us who are actually trying to push this "sport" are just regular guys.

What have you done dude? Get off your lazy ass and do something about it, other than insulting the guys who do push the sport.


And if you haven't noticed, out of the 2 pages of responses, not one person has agreed with you...wonder why?

this is like telling a pro motocross racer (privateer), to ditch the National circuit because there is a po dunk fairground super sketchy track, with cotton candy payouts. So ya maybe joe smo could see a good rider compete, but joe smo can also travel to the national circuit if he wants to see the good riders. Pro's in MX or in our sport are not going to spend thousands of their own money to travel to a crappy venue, and potentially miss more important rides where all the big names are as well as the payouts.

You need to understand, that to my knowledge all the top riders in our sports are "privateers", ya they may be getting help from the big companies with skis and parts (aka sponsorship), but I don't believe they are making a salary.
