Also check out my other old skool freestyle vids on youtube from this same competition with Rick Roy, Lloyd "showtime" Berlew, Eric Cyclone Malone, Kenneth "kilowatt" Wood. The purse for this WestCoast sponsored competition was 3K to the winner. Nowadays a Pro gets about half that payout for a World Championship.

My favorite freestyle period was around 2005 during the transition from old school to backflip mania. Then you had a great variety of tricks. Now it's getting to be not only the same tricks, but even the same skis (DVX's). I think the fans will appreciate seeing something different. I hope he goes aerial also with rolls, throws, monkey jumps, etc. And of course an inspiration for all of us at age 59!
