Would it flip to flip?

Would a carbon BOB with a x metal 865 power valve, with TL and a power factor pipe with a mag pump be able to do flat water back flip to consecutive back flip?

rider weight 140 to 165 pounds.

Has any BOB done flip to flip? I know they had a 1200 in one...

Just because a hull is lighter than a fiberglass hull, that alone doesn't support a flip to flip double.
All depends on how the bottom hull is designed and pump location. If you look at the Lenzi hull, Rickter hull, Bun hull, X Scream hull, they are designed to be able to load the pump correctly for this to happen. The SS 865 package is a killer engine, but that's pushing it for only a 68mm stroke crank, The XS1000 is the deal for that trick. (10mm stroker)

Remember that anything freestyle will take skill. The BOB hull is capable of flipping with a 701, but that doesn't mean you don't have to try. Obviously the bigger the motor, the easier it'll be, but I know that a X-Metal 1000 will do consecutive flips. My BOB with a 800 flat top has done flips. An X-Metal 865 will definitely do flips in a BOB, but once again, you'll definitely need some skill to do it, especially a double.

Taking the engine out of the picture, does the x metal/rickter/lenzi have an advantage over the BOB in some way for flip to flip? Does the BOB have a pump location/bottom hull design thats very different from the x/rick/len?

Thanks Matt.

Yes, BOBs can do consecutive flips. It's been done with an X-Metal 1000 and a 144 Magnum pump I believe. Definitely not a budget set up, but it works.

I am blocked from youtube videos. I imagine the video is of a BOB doing a flip to flip? Was it a carbon BOB or a fiberglass? I see the engine is xscream 1000.

Was posting at the same time...

I watched one of the guys I ride with yesterday almost double flip on a superjet splash cut 3 or 4 inches. With t.l. And a 5mill lamey setup. So with a shorter, lighter hull thatwas designed to flip with an 865 it should deff be possibly with some skill
