Can you modify a SJ engine and keep the compression low enough to utilize pump gas.....and still have the bottom end hit hard? Having to drive out to the airport to buy avgas can be an expensive inconvenience at times.

Engines don't have to be 1000 cc's to hit hard, just need to set up any size engine correctly. Better ignitions, better carb systems, better designed combustion chambers with increased compression ratio's, Freestyle type designed porting and a pump set up to match the engine power curve.
