would you run a seized crank?

FWIW I sank a ski in Daytona right before leaving and coming home to a blizzard. The ski sat all Winter. When I pulled the head I had to use a 2x4 and a mallet to get the pistons free from the cylinder walls. It was already 7+ seasons old I think so I was like whatever. Once I got it running it ripped hard for 30 more gallons and it seized! Ran great until it died though!

If you ride surf dont risk your entire ski over a bad crank. Sooner or later that crank will fail and when it fails it will destroy most of your engine. Besides you dont want that to happen in the middle of the ocean.

a '12 sj just blew a rod through the side of his cases saturday. poor sucker. it was super clean too.

I have a 701 crank out of my 96. It needs one main bearing. Rods are just barely in spec. Good for a couple seasons if you don't run some crazy compression. $50.
