Custom/Hybrid WPS featherweight lithium battery

Picked up my WPS featherweight lithium battery today... This thing is light !!! I don't know how accurate it it is but my bathroom scale says 2.5 lbs !! My deka gell battery I'm using now is 17 lbs .... Unbelevible ... Idk how well it will work but I'm going to find out I guess .. Lol...

Is that one of those $225 batteries? I think they weigh 3 lbs.

I'm not exactly sure what retail is ... Like I said .. My home scale might not be exact but 2.5-3 lbs is crazy light compared to the 17 lbs gell battery I have in there now

Which model did you get? Do these need special charging or could I use a battery tender?

This is what the tag says about model #..... It's what WPS recommend for all Yamaha watercraft

This is what it says about the charger and charging .... They don't even offer a special charger for it so as long as you follow their guidelines you'll be fine

In europe batterie is named "shido" . We have 3 off it in running ski, one with TL. After wasting a lot off money for leaking ballistic im very happy with that type batterie.
BUT : we have shido 14. this means they have cca like a 14Ah lead batterie but only 4,5Ah. If you have a problem with you engine(water in???) you cant crank a long time with 4,5Ah batterie

I have this model WPS which is smaller and it has been working great with TL. I have been charging it with this charger just to be safe. $130 for the batteries and about $100 for the charger.

We have one in two different bobs.. Used them half a season last year then took them out of the skis for the winter.. Because of a new collection of plates and screws in my foot I haven't even been able to ride yet this year... I just checked them both though and they both are still reading full charge... For what I've been able to use them they are awesome ... Would recommend for sure
