650/X-2 WTB: aftermarket Hand Pole

Im not trying to hyjack your post but is there a mod to the stock spring like a block of some sort under the spring to make it stiffer?

A block wouldn't make it stiffer, but you can buy an aftermarket pole spring that will bolt to the metal retainer for the front of the hood, it will relieve a LOT of weight.

Putting a block or spacer between the end of the spring and the pole or hull would increase the compression on the spring and thus make the pole feel lighter.

It's a silly modification. Snivilous is right. Buy the right spring.

Removing the stock platic chin pad and turfing the pole instead would remove a lot of weight from the end of the pole where it matters most.
