A stock 701 is around 55, but a stock 701 really wont flatwater flip. Also its more about torque curve. Rotary spool them build power (max torque at 9k) where as a motor like the superjets will be max torque at 3k or so. roughly.
we were tol that on the mixed flow berkleys we used to run.... but when it was switched from a 5400 rpm 454 to a 9000 rpm turbo 4 cyl and we got the prop and diverter angle dialed in she screamed. so while engineering may say yes i believe there are probably ways to at least bandaid it.
Price??? The lack of one tells me it is going to be to expensive. The Axiro Kart engine is overpriced and therefore doesn't sell. Is this going to be the case here? Hoping not. I'm not sure many of us will be willing to pay 6k+ for an engine. A whole ski cost that just a few years ago. Hoping they will find a way to mass produce it.
