Buy a rubber plumbing cap for $2.50, a hose clamp, and put it on the front outlet end.

Problem solved.

Why would it melt?

People have completely the wrong idea on how hot/cold exhaust really is after the waterbox.
I've ran it that way for ten tanks now, without a problem.

I partially melted mine this past weekend... I was fiddling with my pipe water screws, and when I pulled in to shore, I found smoke coming out of my hood air intakes. It may have been that I simply forgot to tighten the hose clamp enough. Either way, I felt like a huge doofus...

I think I may solder a brass or alum cap on the front part of the T, and drill and tap that plug for a fitting to inject some water...

I won't have to worry about a plastic plug, and ill quiet it down some.

edit: maybe I was idling around to much, and it melted thanks to the jetworks valve and miminal water in the box... buh

Do they make a waterbox without the dual exhaut T? I'm looking for one for rear only... and all i can find is the T. Where can i get one too! Thanks!

Assuming this is for the superjet in your signature, you already own the best waterbox(OEM) you can buy(IMO). You can get an X box w/o the T, but it will still be loud and your boat will NOT be any faster and only about 2 pounds lighter. Your wallet will be MUCH lighter, but shouldn't be any louder.

and you can run 2 lbs less fuel to have that weight savings.
