X2 1100 Build

Hello I'm from Brazil and I just have an X2 hull and I bought a Zxi 1100 engine to put on it.

I have a couple questions:

I know that I can use the 650 bad plate on it, but it you align perfect to the couple?

People dow here are saying that I have to use 3 water lines to cooler the motor is that correct? Or just 2 can solve it?

Can I use the x2 water box with the 1100 motor?

What pitch of impeller should I use?

How much compression can I use on this motor?

This is the hull that I'm going to use, I wanna make it ugly so I can go by the 4 strokes and kick the ass with mine 1100

Most of your motor tuning questions are answered by people racing b1 or sxr with 1100 motors on them.

@Twinturbostang modifies the pipes for centerbleed which can help with your exhaust routing. He may also be able to help you with your bed plate.

I'm not a fan of the stock x2 waterbox. I believe putting in a right rear exhaust and a Superjet waterbox is better for any application, but I do not have an 1100.

There is a past 1100 build you can search for on Google. They had to add sponsons to cover up a modification to the hull to fit the 1100 exhaust.

I have no idea on your prop size or 3 cooling lines, but I think you should consider the 800 pump swap. Rad dudes also sells a pump tunnel for a full swap but that depends on how much work you want to do.

Know ahead of time that the 1100 is no small job.

Hi ,

Congrats on your build ! You are in for a hell of a ride , and I mean work

I have built an 1100 X2 and can provide u with some advise.

My recommendations would be if you run exhaust to run rear exhaust with a flapper, the X2 will be very heavy and will sink easily with the exuast tube submerged. If you are planning to actually do fiberglass work you should pull the water box / resonator up and under the seat compartment and then drop the exhaust back down .

In order for you to actually go by 4 strokes and make them look ugly u would have to remove the pump tunnel and replace it with an 1100 pump tunnel and pump. The 650 pump tunnel and pump will be your bottle neck .

I would further recommend to get tubbies for general stability.

If you have 3 waterlines coming thru is good , the stock 1100 ZXI/STX runs with 1/2 inch in so you could double tap the manifold for your 2 3/8's

They fly like a rocket and sink like a rock. You can use the 650 pump but you will want a 15/22 pitch impeller. Mine (orangefinger built) never had a cooling problem. We duel cooled fromthe pump into a T to the mani. Seemed to work fine. Tripples don't need a lot of compression id say 140 150psi max.

Do I have to change anything in the shaft? or like if i just use the sx 650 on the 1100 it would be good? Do I have to use the waterbox or i can just go the exaust to the exit without anything?

if the engine is mounted on oem bedplates u can run eom shaft, but there are to different ones for x2 , try if you can get the thicker version, the thin version is flimsy, utilize oem 900 or 1100 coupler, do not use wsm couplerws.
U can run without waterbox, front exhaust will be very loud, so wil be rear and beware water in exhaust line wil fill exhaust with water

Ok! How much psi can I put on this motor?
