650/X-2 x2 blown up but cant figure out why

The front cylinder and head look great the back side is not good it's scored onthe top and the hed is scored and the rings are melted what could cause this?

single stock 28 the top of the piston has chunks out of it and is very dark compared to the front

pics will determine if it was detonation or if there was a piece of metal bouncing around in your cylinder.
