Everyone is chopped and not squared. Never had a problem running a scupper tube. Just have to angle the end to match the contour of the hull. I did rear exhaust once on an it made the motor do funny things when wave jumping. I dont run it anymore. But the foam (added rear bouyancy) and weight gain for the glassing, ect with no real gain, just makes me question the mod. I spent a day on an X2 with it, and I would never do that to any of my skis.

I think this and the nose mod fall into the personal preference category, mine is squared off and has the nose mod,I like it,do yours however you like it it doesn't really matter.:AR15firing:

I couldnt agree more, that was just my opinion after spending a day on an X2 with it.

Its probably not as noticeable on mine since a large portion of foam was removed for the resonator installation, mine would be loud as a train wreck if it wasn't squared off like that though.

Yeah I have been toying with the idea of converting a Magura hydraulic clutch kit from a dirt bike or ATV for trim. R Pot used to sell a trim system like that. Those hydraulic tubes are pretty small. i bet you could fish it down inside the stock trim cable tube.

No problem with the threadjack. Do the hydrailic cylinders need to breathe/vent? Are you changing the nozzle as well? Under power if you have the trim leverage....you tend to crack the plastic nozzle / bend the stock trim cables. (I made it to nozzle #3 before giving up on the stocker) Atleast thats the problem I had with my X2guy setup on an 800 motor. Actually the first time I destroyed my trim cable was in Penscola...lol Someone needs to come up with a metal steer nozzle with trim pivot. My wamiltions trim is all metal and seems to put more stress on the steer cable, when engaging trim. I am trying to hunt down a beefed up steer cable now and I think it will be the perfect setup once that is done. Looking forward to see the trim system in daytona!

Any pics of the finished rideplate?

Mid trimming. The front looks funny cuz I have to cut it to clear the yamaha pump shoe. 10layers (9oz and 5oz kevlar) and its still too thin... but I am going to run it cuz its all I have for now. I will be making an order of baltek 2mm coremat to try to get more thickness/strength. Will also try adding a few plies of kyntex to the next one.
