More Problems

In the middle of trouble shooting my total loss system, I heard some rattling around in the motor housing. NOT GOOD. I tore the motor down to find a bad crank and bearings all over the place. NOT GOOD. Needless to say, SBT just got an order and I hope this will be the last of my problems. Atleast I will honor motorheads request to have the motor painted. I have sent it to the famous polishing gut for some more bling action and powder coating. I'm posting some before pics and I will post some after pics end of next week, when I get everything back. This ski is becoming one heck of a trailer queen....

Motor

Here is the after pics of my 785 small pin. I had it powder coated jet black to look like a 650 sleeper.. The new crank bearings and seals should be here Thursday, so here we go again. Hopefully there will be no more problems. I just want to ride the most expensive X2 I have ever owned...

Looking good.

Looking Good.

I like the clean no-nonsense theme going on here.

This get's me motivated to rebuild the wifes 780x2 for ultimate blingage, and clean up some loose ends.

What's cooking for pump/prop/bildge?

fully loaded

Here are some quick snap shots I took tonight after i got done cutting the hood out to fit the gynormous pipe. Anyhow, carb is hooked up, fuel pump is sucking gas and this beotch is ready to run. I have to hook up my throttle cable and put my PA registration on, and in the water she will go. Just keep your fingers crossed.

hick-ups

Well, Maiden voyage was less then exciting.. however, this past weekend I changed some of the msd switches and got the head bolted down correctly (stripped head bolts) and man does it fricking rip. Puts the green boat to shame. MSD is amazing difference!!:beerchug::beerchug:

All that work has finally paid off!!

what does taking 2 inches off the back of the ski do exactly?

Let's the back of the ski sink deeper into the water. It makes the nose feel lighter. It also improves turning. Imagine the turning radius of a car vs a truck, shorter turns faster. The back sinking deeper probably helps keep the pump from breaking free so often.
