X2 vs. HX ????

hi i recently purchased a 1989 Kaw X2 without the pontoons and i could not pull my self up on it nor ride it period so i sold it and bought a 1996 seadoo HX will this be easier or just as hard for me to ride?? i am 6'5" 280lbs

They are easier, but not during deep water starts. Your best bet is to lean it over, start it and nail the gas plus turn to the opposite direction and throw leg up over the seat to get on.

it seemed almost impossible for me to balance on the X2 will this be the same way? and who would make an aftermarked rear stabalizer ??

it seems that the seadoo should have more balance cuz its longer wider and heavier but i am just getting into this and i dont know what i am doing but i do know that the X2 just about killed me and a nearby pontoon

I sat on an HX and it was not very stable at all. I was shocked how narrow it was for how long it was. You already know about the X2....lol I was practicing riding my FX-1 today, so I know what you mean about getting your ass handed to you by falling on your face all day...I am really sore. But it is really fun to learn and ride something completely new. If you stick with any ski and practice alot you will get it down. But if you were looking for a stable ski, the X2 and HX are not really the best choices, but dont let one or 2 bad days change your mind. You'll get it.

My brother took it out for the first time ever and was killin on it! It was my 2nd time out on it and we had a blast. I cant wait to get FX'in in the surf!!

do you think i will be able to sit on the HX without the motor running?

Not a chance. I actually tried to do that, and it flipped upsidedown on me in 2seconds. Sounds like you are looking at the wrong kind of boats if you want a stable pwc.

wow your a big guy, and it makes it harder to get on because of that , the hx is not a easy ski to get back on, but big props to you for sticking to a sport ski once you get the hang of it you will like them better than a sit down keep us posted on your hx. when we first got a waveblaster i had i heck of a time getting back on in rough water but got used to it

Just has a FP and MSD. Ski rips pretty good for the stock pump.
Only a matter of time now, you'll still keep a kawi around the stable, but I see a convert in the making.............lol:puke:
