650/X-2 X2 with 760

Anyone done this swap? I got the x2 and the 760 motor ready to go. Found the Rad Dudes bed plate and motor mounts with coupler. Just need to find a exhaust that will work. Anyone have any ideas? Was looking at the riva red pipe out of a blaster. Or a super jet pipe setup. Also looking for the factory b1 pipe it think it is. Or the factory chamber for a super jet maybe. Any help would be great.

People do this conversion with 701 and a b-pipe. 760 is basucally the same motor but i highly doubt a riva pipe will fit. Just google 701 x2.

B pipe and melt the tank.
Kawasaki 650X2 chamber will work with no tank melting.
Dent the living S out of a blaster limited chamber

You just have to have the factory pipe YAMAHA head pipe the kawi one wont work.

This is the only pipe that will perform , probably similiar to a coffman, theres gonna be another 10hp in having a custom aluminum gas tank to fit a factory limited pipe ,

I have that 3 piece chamber to sell if you can find the exhaust manifold and elbow that goes to it ,its a 700cc pipe
For there cylinder

b pipe will fit but not with factory tank. i have a sxi limited pipe I cut and turned the end on. but then you start running into waterbox problems and battery mount locations. Its all custom fab when you put the yami motor in.I run a 300sx tank melted just a little.Thats with a 750 kawi and dual 38s runs for 10 minute longer than the 760 yami with dual 44s that one has a protec sj pipe on it but has a bubble in the hull to clear head pipe.

I have a SJ chamber in my X2. Heated up the tank and pushed it in about 1". I do have a Kawi 750 motor w/ a westcoast 650 manifold and Kawi A-pipe, and the chamber doesn't line up correctly with the head pipe, so it's not quite all apples. It does work however.

I do have to admit I am not pleased with it. I never have been. I was happiest when I had my other hull with a SJ waterbox going out the right back.

There is definitely a lot of compromise with a X2. I just hate seeing good pipes dented. I know it kills the tuning. I figure one might as well have a bad pipe that fits good than a good pipe that's been turned into a bad pipe that fit so-so.

Not sure if you ever googled 701 X2 but there are some good examples out there to follow now.

Only linking pictures of fully assembled skis. The ones that don't have fuel tanks in wont help.

This one looks like a Kawi motor

You really don't have to dent the blaster limited chamber that bad. Just where it would come in contact with the mag cylinder exhaust manifold corner so you can roll it in further. It also gets you perfect coupler alignment with the headpipe. You really don't have to smash it in the middle of the chamber. If you can find one a nynja c4 chamber is a good way to go also. Pretty much any pipe works except what noobtroll said to run

Good info. I saw a B1 limited in a X2 once that looked like The Hulk confused it as Loki. The whole left side was smashed in about 30% and not w/ any thought or consideration. It made my soul hurt seeing a nice pipe disrespected that much.

Thanks guys for all the input. :):) I finally found a pro-tec pipe for a wave raider. I might have it cut and turned 180 degrees to fit or can I run a sj chamber?

What coupler are you using and are you using the stock drive shAft were considering doing the same swap got an old hill and a motor laying around

So I got the pro tec pipe doesn't fit. The mid piece hits the hull and so dose the chamber. I had the manifold and mid peace in but I don't think the coupler was plum and square. So looking of another pipe setup. And selling the protec.

Trying to find one like the first two pics. So hard to find. Found a Riva dry pipe but don't want to buy another pipe I can't use.

The first pic I posted is from a superjet and should be easy to find, just costly. The second on is a kawi 650 (or possibly fx1) factory chamber and that will be hard to find. That second pic still has a superjet head pipe and manifold.

The superjet pipe isn't hard to find, but if you are on a budget and don't want to buy the right pipe, just run the stock kawi motor and be happy.

kawasaki 650sx coffman pipe fits well and gives good performance. usually cheaper than the 650sx fPP.
