The older xfs ride like poop compared to the new style hull like jzymbe has (same bottom deck as a xfs)

You've never mentioned budget, but your going to pay a lot more for a new style hull. May be out of reach for you.

At body beach WF this year was an XFS and a XFR side by side on the same trailer. Only difference I could see was the dash on the XFS continued into the tray further. Was surprised it wasn't more different

That is the only difference. They have the same bottom deck. Only difference between a xfs LT and a xfr is the xfs might be 10 lbs lighter. Xfs and xfr are the same hull. Xfr carbon core is still the same glass ski with a even lighter layup with core material to add rigidity. Xfs carbon core has the ninja bottom deck. I highly doubt you will find a 2016 or newer xfs or xfr for 4K

I said Id buy a xfr for under 4k. Because id be settling for something I dont want. Ive been offered a lt for 4500 about 6 months ago. I mentioned a budget of 15-30k also. I can afford a brand new hull if there was a glass one available. Rickter said they would make me one but it would be a wait and id have to figure out shipping.

If you dont have a xfs hull for sale, thats fine. Your not going to convince me to buy a carbon, carbon core, xfr, or xfr lt. Might as well save the keystrokes for someone who hasnt made up their mind.

Thanks

I couldn't find a glass hull. I had to get a carbon core. It wasn't a matter of price, it was a matter of finding one. I guess I could have not bought one and just sat behind a computer screen all summer instead of being upside down most of it. To each their own
