Other Xft foothold order

I ordered a set of footholds from Sergio about three months ago and have sent emails and tried skype, but no reply. Does anyone have any contact with him and can find out if I will ever get these x-3's. I hate to place the order and not pay for them, but he doesn't leave me much of a choice.

If anyone has a set of new x-3's they can sell me, pm me please. I would like to start cutting into my ski the end of January.

If it has been 3 months and still no word I wouldn't worry about committing to the order any longer..There are lots of foothold options out there, hopefully something else will catch your eye and you can get them quick.

There is a decent business oppurtunity for someone here. Everyone loves the XFT footholds but very few like how far back they are. Now people are struggling to get their hands on them. A foothold similar to the XFT's that would work anywhere in the tray would be a quality hold even if it didn't have the padding and turf. I liked mine so much, I cut and modified them for two seperate hulls but it required a lot of glass work to fill the gaps.

Sorry to say but its a very very good chance its not gonna happen. I ordered mine about a year ago and no replys, no e-mails, no calls it just showed up at my door almost 2 months later after the order was placed....! He is super duper sketch to deal with and he is NOT doing ski stuff anymore....Great holds, but like waternut said somebody jump on this and make something similar. When I have a little more time I will give it a go just for fun and if it comes out good then great. But until then just look at my avatar!!!:beerchug:

they need a complicated mold and I haven't been able to figure out exactly how he used to make it in one layup. I also know some people that would like a set.

They are made from a two piece mold as far as I can tell. They are indeed complicated . Thats why no one splashes them. If they are no longer making parts what did they do with the molds ?

i was told it was a 3 piece mold. Sergio is out so it sure would be cool if WCF could make something just like them. the lenzi ones do not llook like the xft's either so there should be a market for them.

The direct mold is without a doubt complicated. However, the complicated part of the mold is the part that most people don't like and the limiting factor for many people...the fact that they can only be used on a RN hull and can only be placed in one location is a terrible idea. If XFT is actually out of business, I have no moral dilemna splashing them and modifying them to be used more generically. However, it won't be until I need to returf my ski again.

I couldn't agree more.

yes the only down factor is they only easily install on the back of a RN. I mean i have had them in my SN and also moved them 2" forward on my RN. I think most people won't want to do that so making them movable would be cool. It will be tuff but while he is at it maybe make them dip down, to lower the footstance of the rider.
