Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or heard of the xft hood not letting in enough air for the motor to breath? My ski runs amazing with the hood off, but not as good with it on. It bogs and seems to be loading up.
Ya that was the first thing that I check for was exhaust leaks. It runs fine, not as good with the hood off, but as soon as the ski goes under water momentarily, it then starts to choke. The air vents on the hood are pretty small so I was just wondering if I'm on the right track with what I'm thinking. Thanks for the feedback so far! I will double check for exhaust leaks and I'm going to try another hood hopefully this afternoon.
Maybe you jetted a tad rich and the hood is bringing that out when you sub your ski. Most ski go rich when subbed under water or your carbs are drinking a bit of water that takes a few seconds to burn thru. Trying another hood would be ideal.
