xmetal pole thoughts.

I still run a stock pole and have never broke one but I do have a spare in the rafters just incase. I sold my UMI to go back to stock. “knock on wood”

Thats what I like about running a stock pole. I would much rather break the stock pole than screw up my hull. Heck you can pick up stock poles for $50-100.

What do you all think would give first?

An Xmetal/UMI Pole

or

A Non-Reinforced Nose


From the looks of the Xmetal it looks to be VERY strong so I would think the nose would give first.:dunno:

Mine was weird at first but have gotten use to it. I kind of like pinch bolts now.The weight of the pole is a little heavy then i like. Overall its been ok.

Mine was weird at first but have gotten use to it. I kind of like pinch bolts now.The weight of the pole is a little heavy then i like. Overall its been ok.

Mine is just tight enough that when riding it will actually float with me, but not stiff enough that you have to force it to move.........
almost a neutral setting.

X metal has to be about the:

best looking
strongest
best warranty
most offered lengths
reasonably priced (less expensive than RRP, better quality than UMI/AC IMO)

And Pat has to be about the coolest seller going!

He sold me a stock SJ pole, Team Scream sticker and all. Its kind of cool for me being up in Canada. I'll watch The Addiction with my buddies and when Pat does the 2 flatwater barrels at the beginning I tell everyone in the room that the pole on my ski was once used by "that guy!".

Sort of like owning a game worn jersey.

I know he may have never actually used the pole but the fact that he could have is good enough for me.
