I have an Xmetal steering setup that needs a full rebuild kit. Does anyone know if this would use the same type of kit as an rrp steering or umi steering? Anyone have a link to these parts? I tried searching, but didnt find anything specific to xmetal steering.

Thanks!

You only need 1. I ordered 4 as it was so cheap.
I think that's all you need. You may need o-rings at some point, but that bearing should be sufficient.

I used thrust bearing on my home made pole that was on my old square nose. Smooth as silk but had to replace them after each beach trip. I'm making some bushings for my dad's beach cart this week. I ordered 4 feet of solid 2" round slick nylon rod. Can I make something for it out of that. Would only take a minute on the lathe. Bring the pole up with that shaft.

I need to do this same thing. Now there are two thrust washers on the XS setup. One under the steering plate and one on top. Are they both the same size? I didn't want to pull my steering apart because its all together but I do need to rebuild it all

Hi Matt,

Our adjustable steering system uses a total of 4 – thrust washers, and 2 – thrust bearings per system; the bearing is sandwiched between 2 washers on each side of the turn plate. -We sell bearing/washer replacement kits here for $20.

Rick
