I would like to drop off my ski tomorrow morning to have you guys do some on water carb and pipe tunning for me and check out my total loss wires this week. How early is someone there? I'm coming from Sarasota and will probably be there around 8:30am. Will that work? I'd hate to show up and have this monday be the day you guys all took the day off or your slammed silly and won't have any time for this. Let me know.

Thanks,

Jeremiah

I don't know if it matters but the gas in my ski is 91 octane mixed 45:1 w/ Quicksilver Premium Plus oil. Good to meet you guys and wish I had the $$ to drop a SS 865cc in there.... unless you got one you want to give away

Thanks!

We did at least pull your carb off and guess what? Just like I stated this morning about backfire killing the fuel pump check valve...blown out! So at least a start.

Hey guys, I got to play on it for an hour or so and it's great! It's sooooo much better than before :woot:, that TL was really messing things up. It seem to have a bunch more top end and more than enough low end for me for now. Now I have to put it away for 2 weeks while I'm in Ohio :frown:

Thanks again to Radney and Chuck for the awesome work. :Banane13:

so what was wrong, just a fuel problem?

or a host of a bunch of little thingfs...

Well I droped it off for what I thought would just be some carb tuning or at most a rebuild. Well it turned out that the analog TL was going crazy. It would go from advanced to retard just sitting at idle. So that's why I got the all new stock electrical from jetmaniac w/ a lightened flywheel from #0. They also found 3 motor mounts shot, some stripped and busted pipe threads, my B-pipe was a 650 mani and head pipe so they opened those guys up to match, took out my fuel selector since it was going bad and put in an x-metal fuel pickup, and then water tested it. A couple other odds and ends but the ski is ready to rock! It ran great and I can't wait to get back to it.

I'll be in Columbus, OH (I'm originally from Westerville) taking two RedHat courses. I thought about bringing the ski but I've got my kids w/ me and old friends to visit so I wouldn't have had time anyway.
