Yea its the same. It fits nice. I'll post a pic in a couple of days unless someone beats me to it. I'm using XMW bracket with stock bolt and 2 nuts with like 3 washers I think. They say it wears out the plastic bushings every couple seasons. I'm running a -2 pole with -1 UMI plate. It works really well!

You need to use the stock bolt. The XMW bolts are too short to work with a stocker. That means you can use something similiar, but it neeeds to be longer.

i just looked at my post and think i might have messed up i ment can you use the x metal bolts when using the x metal lowerd bracket and the stock pole?

Cool...good thing to know. I had talked to him about it before, and he thought it would be too short (bolts).

Since he had them both on hand this time, I guess the verdict is it works.

Reviving an old thread!!! :

When using an XMW bracket with a stock pole and stock bolt, are there any other mods that need to be done? Grinding, cutting, etc.? And can you still use a spring (UMI)? (Having a little trouble getting my stuff back together):banghead:

Thanks

You have to grind down a stock pole because it will hit the steering stops of the xmetal bracket. It will weaken your pole but I would do it until it breaks. That was my plan but when trying to shorten my stock pole the brackett at the end that the fiberglass rivets into broke when I was trying to break the glue apart. So, I had to break down and get the whole xmetal setup. Anyways, good luck!

Exactly what i am doing. Trying to buy time till i can afford the pole. Also, if it breaks, it's easier to convince the wife that i need one. Hard to throw away something that is working right now.

Can you still use the spring with the XMW bracket?

Regarding waiting until the stock pole breaks...

If your stock pole is in good shape you can still get ~$75.00 on eBay for it, which is essentially a $75.00 coupon for the XMW pole. After it breaks, it isn't worth anything.

True. But then i only have $75 :frown: Not planning on waiting till it ACTUALLY breaks. Just need to buy some time.I also cut it, so i wanna see if i'm gonna like a shortened pols, and how short to go.
