Custom/Hybrid Xs 865 timing? And cooling?

I just picked up an xs ss865 and I really don't know anything about these.
Put my stator in tonight at 3 degrees. Is that what I should run? The stator I pulled out was at the max line... I'm guessing that's 5? It's just on an msd enhancer. Pump gas only.

Next question is how does xs prefer to run the cooling lines with a b pipe? I have seen two main ways people with this set up are running. Not sure which is better and why?

This way is what they sent me.
It is what I have seen in most pictures. So that's cool.

Just wondering what they set the timing at when it was new.

Kinda wondering the original carbs settings too as my front cylinder is lean.

Taylor, here is the XS cooling on that exact engine Which looks just like the diagram they sent you!
the one posted above looks like standard bpipe not screams

here are what the carbs are at

- Team Scream Modified 46mm carbs (117.5 High, 125 low, 2.0 needle, 65 gram spring, 60 return jet, 3/4 out on H, 1 1/2 out Low)

Cool. The highs are right, the lows are lean. One was 1 turn. That front cylinder was 3/4 turn.
