Noticed your from CO, what elevation do you ride at? Depending on your elevation that may contribute to your motor being a mutt and your jetting specs would differ from many other suggestions as a result.
Yup. Elevation eats horsepower. Horrendously. I think it's stated that you lose about 3% per thousand feet of elevation, noticeably starting around 3000'. I know there's a site with a base calculator we used to set up sleds for a mountain trip. I highly recommend getting with a builder familiar with high altitude motors, for the specs you need. Us flatlanders simply can't help you with this one.
Quick google search shows only 2000' difference, highest and lowest, between the two locations. As stated, "quick", so I may be misinformed. Contact a builder with knowledge of motors for your area.
Are you running a PFP chamber? Does it have a leak? If your chamber is leaking it will be a mutt and nothing you do will make it run right. Just a thought, not knowing what your setup everything is a guess but cracked chambers are common. My guess is if your running one and you own a 900R you probably know that already but sometimes it’s the simple things that get overlooked. Tricky deals with them every day though so I’m sure he will be able to help
