Sorry I should have said hit the end of the bolt . And how big of a hammer we talking . ? I'll try my biggest hammer tommorow instead of a dead blow .you are not supposed to hit cranks with a hammer, but i guarantee if you tighten the bolt that pulls the flywheel and hit the end of it as hard as you can with a BFH, it will pop right off.

So I think here's my issue I tighten puller . Then hit with hammer . Try and tighten puller again and it doesn't go any farther . I'm basically running it in until it stops hitting it two to three times at the end of the puller . And repeating only issue is no matter how hard I hit it it doesn't tighten any more . It's like it bottoms out . Stops and then that's it . Btw it's a 18mm oem Kawai pullerTighten the puller smack hard a few time retighten and smack few more keep repeating until it pops it will just a matter of time

I sometimes used a nut between the snout of the crank and main bolt of puller.
Well sir I would have to classify myself a shrub thank you guys I will try it tommorow . And give feedback if it works or notthats the difference between a shade tree and a pro : )=
its a taper fit. it will come off
Funny !i know whats really wrong with it. loose nut behind the wheel
that aint the right puller for the kawi 750 800 or the right puller for any ski flywheel. You are using a harmonic balancer puller right? is the puller bolt putting pressure on the flywheel instead of the crank snout? On my puller I have to place a crap socket between the snout and the bolt otherwise the bolt just puts pressure on my flywheel and thats hopeless. My end looks like this and its just slightly to big to work without the socket.
It pulls kawi 650 550 440 yami 650 701 760that aint the right puller for the kawi 750 800 or the right puller for any ski flywheel.
Roger that that's part of what I have been doing . All I have in the garage is marine grade grease but I figured that didn't matter .Consider greasing the threads of the puller screw, increases pulling pressure, saves threads and has been accepted procedure for generations.
