Yacht Sub

Well the Kenny Keepers would most likely be intact,,,cept, when the motors shot forward the rear mounts that are attached to the heavily reinforced stringers decided to bring em along for the ride.
I still can't believe the 2 deckhands walked away from that, the hull on that thing is a foot shorter....
The Owner called my Company up, "how soon for new custom yacht"?, The Boat Builders pulled the original Build Sheet, yanked a pre-production off the line, did it up per the build sheet, we commissioned it, parked it on a freighter, sent it over and he is probably out in a gulf somewhere....
Whenever a Sub moves product there are always Insurance Reps, Owners taking pics, most owners of million plus yachts have a photo album of their Yachts on the Salon coffee table, Pre-production to Present..
They bind the pics and story up into a coffee table book, when they move up every 2 years or so the next buyer see's the book, buy's the yacht, get's the book....

Yeah, I know I've been a dog about it,I sneak out at the Mackenzie launch in West Bay once in awhile...
Just around the corner from Millers...

That yacht sank 5 minutes after the pics of the deck hands floating around in the first post...
The holes in the aft of the yacht from all the running gear un- arsing itself caused massive water intrusion, boat stood straight up on it's hinney, engines in the bow now have gravitational pull in effect and had a field day coming back home..
Boat went Arse end in a hurry to the bottom,,divers spent 2 days rigging slings etc. around it.....
That harbor handles tankers and is 100ft deep..
They had to water jet lines under it, working their way up to larger lines and finally lifting straps...
We figure after looking at the inside of the hull is when she stabbed the water there was an intial shock wave through the hull, rapid compression afterwards on the sides of the hull compressed the lower beams into the main stringers causing them to rock inwards, once the bow impacted the bottom of the harbor the engines were on their merry way.
The guy's that were on the boat only remember being "spewed from the grasp of the devil"
No Crap!!

...So do owners of thousand dollar jetskis. I'll bet you that photo to dollar ratio, us jetskiers are more like Billionaires.

In that respect, I'm more like a Trillionaire but roll like a Thousandaire :afro:

just amazing....

Yeppers, that pic will stick with me the rest of my life.....
I wouldn't have posted it up without all the back-up pics, people would think I was a photo-shop menace!.
Don't pipe in much but when I do I'll make sure it's good stuff...

Glad you could use it...
Whenever a yacht is launched there are at least 2 qualified people on board...Checking for leaks, bilge's running, engines spool up, tranny's work, etc....
The Crane operator should never have okayed the lift, his deck boss let it go, raidioed each other to proceed.
They herding sheep in the hills now for all I know..
