Yamaha 701 Super Jet Starter Question

its not complete junk. it will probably last a season. maybe.

Probably. I bought one about that cheap for a couch that I sold a few years ago. Even new, the bearing felt pretty bad... What's wrong with your old one? I'm might be able to talk you through rebuilding it. I've been meaning to do a write-up on how to rebuild these starters.

I'm with Mark22. A rebuilt OEM is way better than ANY Chinese

Ben, don't throw the old starter away if you still have it. PM me and I'll Paypal you money to ship it down to me if you don't want it. I'm working on getting some rebuild kits and I need a few more cores to rebuild. I'm an engineer at a company that remanufactures starters and alternators, so this kind of thing is right up my alley!

grab an OEM. their around the same price used, and will outlast any ebay junk.
