Yamaha SJ 760 Magnum pump questions

Hey Guys!

I´m looking for feedback on mounting a magnum pump on my Yamaha SJ with OEM 760cc kit...
We are talking about a closed course ski here...

What would you suggest? 148mm? Brand? Setback or Not?
Which impeller? etc etc

Skat setback 140mm can be good for your use

Agreed, 140 setback was the go-to pump for many years on race skis...

What impeller pitch would you recommend?
Maybe I should mention that it´s the new hull from -08 and forward.

For racing you will likely want the higher pitches such as 16/21 16/22 16/23. BUT.... Too many variables to give you much of a recommendation. Engine setup, porting, etc.

As for the shaft, I recommend getting the right length one from @JetManiac

Buddy of mine has a 140 skat mag he would sell.

I have an 8 vane Skat 140mm in my Wife's 07 SJ and love it in the surf. She has a race ported 760 and settled on a big hub 14/18. Perfect for surf but as mentioned above, depending on your mods, you might want taller if you race.
