Yamaha Superjet 2007 porpoising

I just purchased a used 2007 Superjet, we have ridden it 3 times this year and it seems to run great. I have a hard time getting forward enough to stop it from porpoising. It has a ride plate on it that looks to be made of carbon, very short with a cut out. Any recommendations?
I am 6'4" 255lbs. I know loose weight. LOL

Also shorten the handle pole several inches will get your weight more forward and you will find you can ride more aggressively and will be more fun to ride with that. This will make a bigger difference than the ride plate.

Sounds like I need to shorten the pole and try a different ride plate. Is the ride plate in the link below a good one for my situation?

I'd try one thing at a time. Start with the pole and steering first. You will find that shortening the pole will get your weight farther forward which will help with porpoising in itself.
Here's a video on how to shorten the stock pole. With straight bars, the sweet spot on the stock length superjet is having the bar align with the hood seal lip on top of the dash. I believe that is 4 or 5 inches.

These Wedge-type Rear Sponsons make the Rear End lift and push the Nose down. Will reduce porpoising some.

So will Rear Hull Extensions and a Longer RIde Plate.

And the most expensive fix is the Pump Setback Modification.

Get rid of that short rideplate unless you ride nothing but surf. Shorter pole is nice but that's not your problem. That plate you are looking at is no better than stock and stock is useless for your size and weight. I had an extended plate and it porpoised until I pulled the drop nozzle. I put a worx dominator plate on there and it took the place of the drop nozzle for stopping porpoising. You won't be doing any backflips with a long plate, but barrelrolls yea

Agreed. While a short pole is good, it is not your issue. Your short plate is your problem. Going back to A stock plate will be a small upgrade. A longer aftermarket plate will help keep the nose down more, and with you being a bigger guy will really help.

I like the DD long Jet dynamics plates. We ahve them in stock here;
