Yamaha Superjet?

Hi I'm new to jet skiing & I just bought my first 2 ski's. There both sitdowns. I want a third ski. a standup to stunt.
I was thinking about getting a new Yamaha Superjet, but I had a few questions.
These are carberated so will I have any problems with stalling off big waves, or flooding the carbs with water?
Also is it easy to damage one of these by jumping wakes & stunting it?
Also how is the power on these things, is it good? Are there aftermarket mods I should make to it?
Any info, suggestions, or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the post. I've been searching but can't find much info on the carberater. Am I gonna have problems? Waterlog,stalling..

Good choice for your third ski (should have been your first j/k) What kind of sitdowns did you get?
As far as the SJ water injestion goes, keep a coupler cover on, the factory flame arrestor, and you should see no issues.

I bought 2 Kawasaki 1100cc 130 hp ski's. One is a 2 seater & one is a 3 seater. They both have the same engine. Both fuel & oil injected.
The 3 seater is a Kawasaki 1100 STX DI 3 Seater.
The 2 seater is a Kawasaki Ultra 130 DI 2 seater.
They both have 31 hours on them now, but when I got them 2 weeks ago they only had 24 hours each. & There both 2001's. I got them from a rich older couple that never rode them.
I'm 21 & I always wanted jet ski's when I was younger but never had the money. Well I finally got them now & I love them.

I remember when I got my first jetski, a sitdown. I loved it for the first month or so until I got my Superjet. Since then the sitdown has been a trailer queen for friends and family.

I never really wanted a standup ski. I didn't see the things you could do with them until a couple weeks ago. When I bought my skis's I didn't want a standup. I thought it ould be uncomfy & I would way rather a sitdown. Well after riding for a few days I still love my sitdowns but I really want a SJ standup more and more every time I ride.
I just gotta figuer out how I'm gonna carry 3 ski's to the lake.

BTW I love this site. I'm so glad I found it. A guy suggested this to me at another forum & I'm so gratful. An awsome forum!:Banane01:

Find a sap that will buy one or both of those couches and you wont have that problem.
I guess you could keep one of those for friends and family but trust me (as a reformed couch rider) you'll be riding the stand up.

x2! Sell a couch and deck out a SJ and then you will have 1 of each.

I would buy a SJ that already has the basics if possible. i.e. footholds, bilge, scupper, prop.

Then you will likely have no issues and save yourself a LOT of work.

I know I should have bought a standup.
Right before i bought them a kid told me. Get one sitdown & one standup. I told him I wanted 2 sitdowns & I'm kicking myself for it. I want a standup so bad. I might buy a single trailer & sell the 2 seater & buy a SJ standup. How much will a nice single trailer cost?
I want to keep the 3 seater cause I'm gonna buy a wakeboard & ski's & a tube for it so i want to keep the 3 seater.

I have seen more than a few people fit a stand up on a dual trailer with 2couches before.

Keep it super simple is my mottow. Sell a couch and put the SJ next to the other couch.

How much should I expect to pay if I bought a newer used Yamaha Superjet? I don't know if I should get a newer used or just get a brand new one. Are there any differences in say 2000-2007 Superjet's? What I like about buying new is I know how it's been treated, maintained, * how many hours are on it.

Do you think I should try to trade someone the Kawasaki Ultra 130 DI straight up for a Superjet? Or sell it & buy one?
If i sell my ski how much should I expect to get for it? It has like 32 hours on it & its a 2001 130HP fuel & oil injected 1100cc low emissions ski. All digital guages. It's like brand new. Every little tiny part of the engine even looks showroom.

I would sell a couch and buy one modded superjet. If you insist on keeping both couches then I would buy a single trailer and a modded SJ for around 3-5 grand.

Would it be worth the extra $ to buy new? I could do new in a few months but I'd have to wait alittle while for the mods.
I don't know sht about jet ski's. I've been into motorcycle stunting & I know you never buy a new sportbike to stunt cause they get trashed. Not the case wth jet ski's though?
