yamaha 701 ported with b pipe and shaved head msd enhancer or a kawasaki with the same mods

im asking because you can put ether into the eme Q8 hull but malone had a stock kwaka motor in the demo one that he backflips, but i thought yamaha was a better motor ???? is it just that the sj is a lighter ski that makes it feel like a better motor ?

i think that the Kawasaki motor will be much better because it's a bigger engine but more wight than than Yamaha for me just throw in a x-scream 1000 and give it a huge back flips

Seems to me the Yamaha motors are typically bullet proof and "tried and true" in this application. I may be mistaken but I think the Kawi motor's port timing is better suited to top end performance. The 61X yamaha cylinder is a better platform for freestyle (low end) porting.

I have never looked but I think you will find plenty of discussion on this very topic if you tried a search.

Just have to work on the landing as I was landing flat so just need to slow my rotation down. How's your ski running did you get some more compression into that motor ?

Nah mate it's in a crate going back to the states love my hull though so much fun I've got a fresh mild port 61x 760 going in tonight had it laying around should be perfect for surf
