Probably because the carb(s) turned to sh it from sitting so long, that would be my first guess and it isn't running right.

So the engine was mis tuned so it was detonating destroying the aftermarket WISECO pistons? The aftermarket UMI steering system went?

That motor's been out for awhile. The cylinder is toast and it's got a WSM crank. I've been trying to track down a motor.
