You can make a mod or limited chamber work in an FX1 without beating the pipe, I've done both.

Mod: shift gas tank over. Requires force and finesse. Ideally you also warm the *empty* tank with a heat gun and make a small dent in the tank for added chamber clearance. Or follow Limited chamber fitting below.

Limited: get a SJ gas tank. Only mod required to fit tank is to move the battery box back an inch or less by drilling new mounting holes in the battery box.

With a SJ tank (or nice Cold Fusion one) both chambers fit perfect.
