Yoda Racing???

Has anyone heard of Yoda racing? I bought a 96 blaster and it has a motor with their name engraved into it. I cant remember where the old owner said the motor was purchased, maybe Aqua Jet in Mississauga or Brampton Ontario 10+ yrs ago.

Just looks like a basic motor. Pulled the head off and it looks like it has been cleaned up or some porting.

Yoda racing. Clearly somebody that thought they were the guru master. Never heard of em, but that dont mean much. Porting is all about specs. Once you know the right numbers and can run a porting tool, it'll create power. Pete debaghian has been a local guru forever. Jetski James used his numbers and wala.
Can't tell anything about the transfers by the pic but the main port has been hit fairly good. When the top of the port is a big rounded arc it's more linear power. When it's flat across the top it's violent. Piston on the way down reads the opening. Big arch and piston reads a small opening that gradually gets bigger. Bla bla bla . Ive seen group k and jetworks with mostly rounded tops lol

Thanks for the update. Searched the web for a bit and found nothing. Not sure if it was a small Canadian outfit or not. I took some more pictures as best as I could, not sure if it helps.

Now to figure out why it has 120 pilot jets, research shows everyone is 70-75.

Protec moflo flame arrestor adaptors and for sure it's reverse jetted. 120 pilots and probably 110 mains or there abouts. With 120 pilots the popoff is very low. 135s in this ported sj that just ripps. Engraved edge motorsports. Also unknown to me but it's some crazy porting. Your transfers are raised and angled back to the rear of the cyl. That's correct

I believe they are 38s. 120 pilots, 130 mains and must be a 1.5 n/s because it struggled to pop in the 50+ psi range. Didn't run right, rebuilt the carbs and it was better but loaded up at idle, lowered the pop off in the 32 range and it improved the snap off idle. Guess I have lots of turning to do.

Oh wow yea if they are 38s those pilots should be way too big. 130 mains are stock #s. Oem 44 setup off a 760 and my jetting #s would be close. I see it has a coffman rocket pipe. Is it a 61x cyl or 62t. You could call Pam coffman and ask if she has jetting specs. They gave my their book but I don't think it has specs for 61x dual 38 superjet motors. Only 62t raider dual specs. You said you lowered popoff but that makes the pilots seem bigger

Confirmed, 38s and 61x. I also went down a half jet to 117. Was afraid to do much of a change leaner but seeing all the info I will make a bigger change. Found these instructions but doesn't show pop off under the duals, unless it's the 14psi same as the others. Main at 140-160, pilot 72.5.
Looking at the water hose diagram I'm not set up properly there either. Got me a can of worms lol

Another question , is there a way to tell if the head was milled? Measurement from plug to flange face?

There is always a step from the gasket surface to the machined dome. The step is gone so it's been cut a bunch which it needs to be. Stock good compression is about 160. Raising the exhaust ports with porting lowers compression too

Put my new ADA head on with 35cc domes and checked squish. I was getting 0.039-.0.040"... pulled the head back off and put the OEM milled one back on and am getting 0.055-0.057" Sound about right or am I in the danger zone with the .039? Going to run 91 octane, can switch to 94 if needed its just not available at every gas station.

While doing the squish noticed the outer seal damaged. Decided to do a full tear down and inspection.
