You have all year to make your case. Blow outs or not, the top 4 teams got in the playoffs this year. Football is a game of matchups. ND destroyed a Syracuse team that went into Clemson and nearly pulled the upset for the second year in a row. But when they played heads up, it wasn’t even close. But guess what, neither was just about any other team vs. Clemson this year. What makes college football the greatest sport around is that it’s the only one where EVERY GAME COUNTS. Don’t think so? Ask osu.... the last two years. Think Georgia was one of the best four? Well, they shouldn’t have lost two. Complaining about OU getting in? Well, they had the best 1 loss season and beat the team that beat Georgia in the bowl games. This is the 5th year of the playoffs and just about every year the selection committee has got it right. The only real complaint was the year osu got in over TCU, which was bull$hit, but hey, they won it all, so it is what it is. People who want to change the format or got o an 8 game playoff don’t love college football, because if they did, they would want every game to count. When a team in the nfl loses a game, it’s on to the next one. In college football, there is a sense that if you don’t win them all, you are at the mercy of the system, and that is what makes every game count.

Painful. Sad part was watching Bama move the ball so well the whole game and not capitalize on it. This game was won by Clemson defense and lost by Bama's.

Why you deleting all your post? Should have left them.

We got our ass handed to us. We had about 30 less total yards and yet could not finish a drive to save our life. Clemson came to win and win they did. They played about as perfect as you could play. Hats off to them.

Because I was just being a meany and honestly, like I said last month, I wanted a bama win. I know what its like to be spanked by the clemson. I remember fondly the days when "clemsoning" was a term describing pooping in your own bed. Ahh the good old days.

Clemson won because their D line rattled Tua and Bama lost because their D line couldn't touch Lawrence. Give any good QB enough time, they will find open receivers, give a guy like Lawrence time and you will get shredded. Bama's D has always been predicated on pressuring the Qb, making so-so secondary players look great. When they couldn't pressure Lawrence, their secondary was completely exposed. Plus, it was the first time I have ever seen a Saban team get rattled, and first time I have ever seen Saban himself panic - the fake field goal that everyone in America saw coming.

I love Dabo, he just seems like the kind of guy you'd want to play for. I thought Bama would win a close game, but I was wrong. That Clemson team is one of the best ever. It absolutely blows my mind how much the secondary improved from the A&M game til this game. Hat's off to the coaching staff.
