im gonna run a mod chamber. TC said their isn't a reason to run the limited with our 850s, the displacement is enough your over trying to scrape every last bit of power out of it like the 701. Should run best with a mod

I say MOD also as i tried both and for some reason i still prefer the MOD even with my stock 701. Plus there is more room in there with the MOD. ;)

With the 850 mid to top end power the MOD really make it hit strong up top.

alright guys i got to dis assembling my ski this last weekend and building my motor up. its pretty cool taking apart your ski and having nothing on the hull being damaged. no cracks what so ever. this thing is top quality.

heres a shot with the 701. bye bye.

well i guess i could update this. i got this bad MOFO together and holy balls..... this motor has re sparked my love for freeriding. im having so much flipping fun! this thing never stops pulling. very linear but if you keep it pinned it will rip your arms off. everything obviously is way bigger. i can hit any wave at any point and do something cray cray. biggest re-entrys. its so much fun.

like ive said before, a 701 is FINE for the surf. you dont NEED more power but hot damn once you get a taste.... its hard for me to go back.

my setup is pry the most mellow set up out right now and it is still a beast. like i said im coming from a limited 701 with no porting so i knew this was going to be a big jump. i have my motor set up mild like this so i can get used to this type of power and once i do, i can slowly change things to get more power.

as of now its ;

DASA 850 stock stroke
170 pounds of compression
STOCK flywheel
MOD chamber with Xscream modified stinger
i didnt even open up the cooling jackets or port the manifold.
MSD enhancer
Timing is slightly advanced
only running 2 cooling lines off the head
dual OEM Mikuni 44 carbs
135 main jet
125 pilot jet
2.3 NS
95 pound spring
screws are about a touch under 5/8ths out.

so yea, i got a tbm flywheel ill throw in soon. feel the gain and get used to it. then pry bump up compression or get bigger carbs. its cool having options.

ill get a vid up soon. heres a few pics.
