SB Products Billet SuperJet engine case

After a year of development, 300-400 hours of design and machine time, I was finally able to finish the first billet Superjet case that I know of.

I started out with a 16MM crank, but these cases could be used with any stock stroke or stroker SuperJet crank.

I tried to remain true to the look and feel of the SJ case and to keep them within 5 lbs of the factory case.

Uses all factory bolt-ons including, cylinder, intake, ignition, mag and mount pattern.

As some of you guys know, I manage DASA's machine shop and I run my own shop as well. So it should come as no surprise, I built the transfer base to match the DASA/Lamey cylinder, but I could make it to match any cylinder.

What do you guys think?

Right out of the machine in this shot, still have to drill the starter mount holes.

I just want to add.....

These pictures are from mid-October, at this time the cases are nearly complete. I have been swamped trying to finish the details of the case and lightening them up where it is safe to do so.

I have a total of three cases, I am trying to decide which builders will get the first three. I am going to start the first production run at 10 cases, unless I get a few people ready to step up.

I can imagine the torque this thing will make will be significant, pumps and props will need to jump up pretty big to keep it pulled down enough. The bottom hit like a train and the top end will just keep pulling.

I take my hat off to you Brian I know exactly how much work is involved, I keep looking at cases thinking I should have a go but it takes about 30 seconds to talk myself out of it. Nice work.
