are those cylinders yours too? what do those run to get a idea on what all this would run.

The cylinder is a DASA/Lamey part. It is a complete top end from the base gasket up for $2800.

We also offer a small bore 7 port cylinder that is bare with sleeves that is similar to the original Lamey cast cylinder, I would have to get a price for you for that, because I don't know, maybe one of the other builders could chime in with the correct price.

Way too soon for that, what do you think the price needs to be, or what would you be happy paying?

I think I could have something ready in two weeks

not really sure. I don't have a firm grasp on how long it would take to draw up and produce. I would pay 50 to 100 for a billit cover if it came with a spare o ring. More if i didn't have to anodize it myself. I am sure if you priced it right you would sell a TON of them. at least 20-50 per year for just freeriders, i think the racers would want them too. Which isn't that much but for this industry...i really would like to know how many b-pipes have been produced and sold over the years. then maybe i could accurately comment.

Most of the time it doesn't matter what it takes to draw up and produce, the market will only bear so much. Many times the R&D is done for free(or worse)just so the parts can be made. Honest.

I can assure you the o-ring is by far the cheapest part.

I would guess the material would be at least $20-30.

It also needs a bushing for the stator.

Annodizing is done for a lot price, meaning to annodize a single color for one part is $50., for ten parts it is $50., for 30 parts is it still......$50. Kinda of a racket if you ask me, but it is what it is.

I was already planning on making a cover so we could build a complete billet engine, something about that is just trick to me. Billet mount feet are next.

I'm sorry but I got billet wood now! :bananajump:
Very, very, nice work. That thing is a work of art for sure!
congrats! :beerchug:

So much cool stuff coming out now based on and for the 62T platform!:headbang:

just anodize the cases black.no choice on color.you could still also offer raw ones as well and let the peeps anodize them themselves.
is there enough room to oring the base gasket surface and intake?

O-rings around the intake and cylinder. Interesting idea. The intake would be no big deal.

Initially, what about between the cylinders? Around the outside would be easy, but the space between the cylinders might be too small for two separate o-rings. I would have to have a custom one peice o-ring made for that.

One problem is with annodizing(after the fact) is the main bore will need to be held oversize to do it correctly, anno will make the bores slightly smaller so this has to be taken into account. Other than the main bore, nothing else is real critical as far as that goes, but that would be a big deal as the cases would be "tight" around the crank. In my opinion, if the custumer wants to annodize them, they need to be done before they are shipped.

We looked at doing this as well, just didnt think the market then would support it and couldnt afford the labor of love that had to go into these

nice peice love to see pics of the internals

just have them mask the bearing bores so size isnt effected,

and I would personally do Clear anno to show off the tool marks

the inside can be masked, the oil will prevent corrosion, its the outside than needs to be delt with.

It very well may be a labor of love.

It is possible to mask them, but that surface won't be protected. I guess the crank bore would be OK.

That might be viable.
